Day 9 Structural and Behavioral Adaptation Review Game
Materials: 2 large signs to hang in room 1 with "Structural Adaptation" written on it, the other with "Behavioral Adaptation" written on it, cards with animal adaptations written on them for the students to draw from a hat/container (see link below)
Objectives: Students Will:
identify the difference between structural and behavioral adaptations
identify examples of structural adaptations
identify examples of behavioral adaptations
Before the lesson print out the adaptation cards (see link below) that I've made, (and laminate if you want to reuse them). Hang up signs on opposite sides of the classroom. Explain that today we are going to use all of the information we've learned to play an adaptation game. Each student is going to draw a card that has an adaptation description on it. The student is going to decide if it's a behavioral or structural adaptation. The student will read the card out loud and walk to the correct sign.
