Day 10 Animal Adaptations- Wrapping it up...
Materials: large piece of paper for each student, 1 sheet of adaptation cards for each student, scissors, glue
Objectives: Students will:
identify structural adaptations
identify behavioral adaptations
Today the unit on animal adaptations is being wrapped up. The students are going to each get their own copy of the adaptation cards (same cards from day 9- see link below), cut them out, and glue them in the correct column, either structural or behavioral adaptation. First, pass out a large piece of blank paper to each student. Have them fold it in half (hamburger or hotdog, either way is fine). Then title each half either "Structural Adaptation" and "Behavioral Adaptation." Pass out the sheet of adaptations cards to each student. The students should cut out and glue the description on the correct column. This is a great wrap up activity, though the students should complete a more in depth final assessment. See assessment page for that.
